Barbara Lowenstein

Barbara Lowenstein is the Founder and President of Lowenstein Associates. She began her publishing career at the Sterling Lord Agency, served as an editor at Lancer Books (where she created the industry's first trade paperback line), and worked as Director of Subsidiary Rights for Walker Books before establishing her agency. For over four decades, she has represented internationally bestselling mystery authors, MacArthur Fellows, executive leadership pioneers, and science prize winners. Outside of publishing, she is a longtime political activist and advocate for voting rights and gender equity.
