Mona Kanin

Mona Kanin is the founder of M. Kanin Literary, established to partner with authors and illustrators of artistically ambitious books for children and adults. Her career began in libraries after earning an MSLS from Simmons University and studying at its Center for the Study of Children’s Literature. She worked as a children's and generalist librarian at the Boston Public Library and managed an independent bookstore in Washington, D.C. Before becoming an agent and developmental editor, she spent 25 years as a award-winning nonfiction media designer, writer, and producer for organizations like PBS, Discovery, and the Human Genome Project, alongside studying design at Parsons.
