If you’re currently querying—or getting ready to—RevPit’s #10Queries is a free opportunity to see how professional editors respond to query letters and opening pages.
Submissions are open October 9–23, 2026.
What Is RevPit #10Queries?
#10Queries is a virtual event hosted by Revise & Resub (RevPit). Writers submit a completed query letter and the first five pages of their manuscript for a chance to receive feedback from a professional editor.
Unlike RevPit’s main spring contest, #10Queries focuses specifically on your query package and opening pages.
How RevPit #10Queries Works

Writers submit through RevPit’s official Google Form. Entries are selected by random drawing, and each selected submission is assigned to a RevPit editor.
On October 23, editors will post brief, constructive feedback on Bluesky using #RevPit and #10Queries. The submissions remain anonymous, and selected writers receive an email letting them know which post is theirs.
What You Need to Submit
You’ll need a completed query letter + the first five pages of your manuscript, combined into a single document in standard manuscript format. Only one submission is allowed per person.
Important Dates for #10Queries 2026
Submission window: October 9–23, 2026
Feedback day: October 23, 2026, from 9 AM–9 PM EST
Cost: Free
Where: Submit to Google Form here
What Happens If You’re Selected?
A professional editor will review your submission and share their feedback publicly on Bluesky without identifying you or your manuscript. If your entry was selected, you’ll receive an email privately identifying your feedback post.
Why You Should Follow #10Queries Even If You’re Not Selected
The public feedback is useful on its own. You can see what catches an editor’s attention, where opening pages lose momentum, and the kinds of query problems editors notice quickly.
